Death rate now 2.7 percent well above 0.1 percent of Influenza.
COVID-19 .027 (U.S. deaths 8503- U.S.cases 312,249 as of 4/5/2020)
The Coronavirus is 5 times more deadly.
Influenza with a vaccine, antibiotics, years of research, and treatments had 32,000 deaths in the U.S. last year- Now multiply that by current death rate of COVID-19 that would be 160,000 deaths and most likely far more as supplies, personal, and space run out.
The stay-at-home measures, have helped slow it down and saved millions of lives, but being forced to walk into a store or building, containing many parts per million of the virus, with no protective gear- Is going to escalate this spread of infection and cause the rates of death and hospitalization- to increase greatly. People that could of been saved- are being sent home now.. This can change if everyone is forced to wear a covering over their mouth and nose entering into any store or business. The viral load in the air should in most cases, not be enough to infect anyone. But everyone has to do it, one sick person not having their face covered will still infect others.
The CDC estimated that between 37.4 million and 42.9 million people contracted the flu during the 2018-2019 season. Those cases led to between 531,000 and 647,000 hospitalization and 36,400-61,200 deaths. These numbers may seem high, but when stacked against previous seasons reported deaths were at a decline
If we took the U.S. death rate now of the Coronavirus and applied it to as many infections as Influenza of 42 million- that would be 1,134,000 deaths in the U.S.
Add now that the Coronavirus is 3 to 5 times more infectious then Influenza (which has a vaccine), infecting both from air and touch- you could in reality multiple all the numbers 3 or 5 (which is 3,402,000 to 5,670,000 deaths of all ages.) (like Russian Roulette 5 chambers empty to 1 loaded- you spin and who gets the bullet.).
If everyone covers their faces going into buildings-vehicles, not their home, this coronavirus would burn out in 3 weeks.
Comment I received:
"I really wish people would stop posted the mortality rate, it's not accurate at all. We still are only testing the serious cases, so of course the mortality rate is higher. Smh"
How many people contracted Influenza not recorded,. Probably far more- than Coronavirus.
