Lieutenant Michael R. Poliquin
Lieutenant Poliquin joined the East Windsor Police Department in December of 1994. He was assigned to the Patrol Division subsequently becoming the Training Officer and functioned as a DARE Officer. In 1997 he was assigned as the first Juvenile Officer, establishing the Juvenile Review Board, taking over as the DARE Coordinator and became a Post Certified Instructor for Firearms, Gangs, Critical Incident Management and was also a departmental TASER Instructor. In October of 2000, he was promoted to Sergeant and was assigned to supervise Training, the K-9 Division, the Crime Suppression Unit and the Honor Guard while he also served a brief stint as the Union President.
During his time as a Sergeant he was involved in the development and implementation of the Citizens Police Academy and the Police Explorer Program. In July of 2011 he was promoted to his current rank of Lieutenant and he oversees the Patrol Division, the Detective Bureau and the Records Division. He has a Bachelor’s Degree from Western New England University and a Master’s of Public Administration from Westfield State University.
