We recently received 2 laser speed measuring devices on a grant. This morning Officer Butcher and Sergeant Gonsalves were trained on the laser and set up speed enforcement on South Water Street under the bridge. Over the coming weeks, all officers will be trained on the laser to help combat our number one complaint, traffic violators – primarily speeding.
Officer Butcher works the midnight shift and has a passion for traffic enforcement and keeping our roadways safe. He has worked for EWPD since December 2018 and is a tireless worker.
Sergeant Gonsalves is our newest supervisor and also works the midnight shift. She has worked for EWPD since October 2016 and is a great role model for our younger officers.
